My name is Deep Dhimal, and this blog will tell you about my group “The Bees” journey from start to finish in the regionals at the CAIU. Our website URL is bees.mydcts.org.
The Planning
Before we even started the website, we first had to think of an idea for a website. Me, Pujan, and James were sitting in web development and design when our teacher Mr. Choate, Said “Who would like to create a website for Pa media and design for extra credit?” we decided to create one just for the extra credit because we knew a group of ninth graders can’t win. Our teacher then said who was our group me and Pujan looked at each other and agreed then we dragged James into our group he just said “sure” he did not even agree until we started planning. Poor James got dragged into our mess. We then needed an idea easy right? No, it took countless of ideas, ai and peers. Then boom it happened ai gave us the idea Bees! But now we needed a name then it happened we thought about how a world without bees is a world without humans. So “Save The Bees” was born!
The Page Designing
Now that we had the had naming and ideas done, we now needed to decide our page ideas. So, we brainstormed with our teacher what a good animal saving website needs. With our brainstorm ideas we got rid of a lot and added some pages and we decided to make these pages below.

Designing Our Storyboard
Our group had a month to work on our storyboard guess what we did it only in a day it was rushed we paniced each minute that went by our poster kept falling apart there were so many hiccups but in the end our poster was a masterpiece and many people thought it took weeks but deep inside we knew that it was worked on for only a day!
The CAIU First Half
When we arrived at the Capital Area Intermediate Unit (CAIU) we started setting our computers and our project board. We started talking and walking around looking at other projects and rating them and saying if it would be top 3.We were just laughing around making fun of our project having a good time just for the vibes. We then proceeded to play some Kahoots about April fools we tried using ai but failed miserably so we decided to just guess blue then we found out all the answers were blue so they could fool us but, no one can fool THE BEES GROUP but, if only we had realized earlier.
The CAIU Second Half
After playing some blookts it was time for the judging round me James and Pujan were fooling around laughing having time of our lives criticizing people for the place they got because some should be higher some should be lower. Then it was the websites for the middle school and after that me Pujan and James were laughing at random inside jokes and Pujan did not like those inside jokes and made up a random one but we still laughed anyway having the time of our lives we were just there for the vibes hen we heard THE BEES we knew at that moment we were cooked.
The Results
We heard “THE BEES” called out we thought we were done for due to the laughing the judging but we had actually won 3rd place in regionals beating 10,11,12 graders even some of Mr. Choate’s Students! We went up and got are medal and started partying like never before. We were flexing our medals in school on the bus even to Mr. Choates students who lost.
